The Crimean Cow
The client approached us with the task of redesigning the well-known Crimean brand Krymskaya Korovka. With a long history and strong brand recognition across Crimea, it was essential to treat the brand’s heritage with care — the logo remained unchanged. The main focus of the project was the redesign of the packaging and the development of a cohesive visual system.
Our goal was to refresh the product’s appearance, make it more contemporary and appetizing, improve shelf readability, and at the same time preserve the familiar associations with Crimea, naturalness, and a homemade taste. The emotional dimension of the brand was reinforced through an illustrated seaside Crimean landscape, evoking feelings of freshness, sunlight, and relaxation while strengthening the connection between the product and its place of origin. We reworked the packaging compositions, enhanced color navigation across flavors and categories, made the food imagery more expressive, and built a unified visual logic for a broad range of SKUs.
As a result of the redesign, the brand retained its recognizability and consumer trust while becoming more relevant and competitive. The updated Krymskaya Korovka received a cohesive, scalable packaging system that allows the brand to grow without losing its identity.
